About Marisa
Born and raised in the Bay Area, I spent most of my childhood in my parents' Greek restaurant, helping lay sheets of phyllo dough for baklava and arranging flowers in Retsina wine bottles. The electric atmosphere of restaurant life sparked a love for parties and events in me, a skill I have continuously honed by planning everything from birthday celebrations to bridal showers for my extended family. While studying for a degree in fashion merchandising I stumbled into a job at a busy floral design studio, and just like that I was hooked. Despite completing my fashion degree, I spent the better part of the next decade working for some of the best floral designers in the Bay Area, learning to mesh my party planning and design abilities with a newfound love for flowers.
Now, after fourteen years in the business, my entrepreneurial spirit is taking over in the form of Revel Floral. Owning my own business has been a dream of mine since the very beginning, and it is truly a privilege to share my love of color, design, and rich, full florals with my clients.
